This was the four room school in Tantallon Saskatchewan where I went for Grades 1 to 3 and first three months of Grade 4. We lived in the railway station (my father was a telegrapher and station agent for the CPR). We were on one side of the tracks and the school ground was just across the tracks so even at the age of six it took me only a minute or two to get from home to school on foot. My mother could watch from the station window until she saw me enter the school by the back door which was on the side opposite to the one shown here.
