Snow Lake Grads

This was the graduating class in my second and final year in Snow Lake. Grade 12 that year consisted of 7 students who were in the University Entrance Course and 5 students taking the Grade 12 General Course which was being offered for the first time in Snow Lake. There are only 11 in this picture because one student who was repeating Grade 12 had gone through the graduation ceremony the year before, and you were only allowed to graduate once. (Some schools used to wait until October to hold graduations so students who failed their exams could be excluded.) This was scanned from a slide. Colour prints in those days were expensive and often not very good. Most people took slides if they wanted their pictures to be in colour. There must be tens of thousands of unused slide projectors cluttering people's basements. Everybody had one in the 1960s.
